Once in awhile, my other half and I would a take a day off from work and spend the whole day without the kids. We just did the routine goodbye kiss in the morning, like any other working days, and voila, liberty calls our name ! I know we have to be prepared with an explanation once they understand people don't carry a neon pink bag (with dangling tassels, if I may add) to work.
But if I want to check out preview sale or public sale for that matter, I rarely bring my other half along. Well, men don't comprehend all these shopping stuffs, so them tagging along is like, 'what for?', right ?
Here, my mom and my sister come into the picture. Tell them about a special sale with 70% discount, they'll be ready with handbags and matching blazers at the front door almost instantly. But getting out from the house is a bit trickier with the kids. They got the idea of me going to work (with a pink bag !), but going to the office with Nenek and Halida?
M&Ms comes handy at this crucial time.
So yesterday was one of those days when we need retail therapy and tea session in peace.
We dragged my mom everywhere in and out of shops in OU and Bangsar, in return we had to accompany her for grocery shopping. Fair deal.
What is this vegie? Looks like coral reef.We got back home about the same time that I usually arrived from work. The kids didn't complaint but that won't be long before they will soon realise I don't go to work, but go for shopping instead.
For now, let me enjoy the time when they are still oblivious of how the world works :)
