20112011

Should blog about this in November , but I kept on thinking if any date is significant enough for me to remember, other than it was my dad's birthday.

I've becoming sloppy in planning lately. We ran out of idea on lunch venue, so we just stick to our favourite place.

Rizqin turned 18 months on 11/11/11, so that is such an important date, right?

I realised I haven't talked much about her here and I felt a bit guilty. She has been such an angel right after birth and all I can talk are moon and stars about her.

She is still very much dependent on me for milk. I am so proud of myself to go this far, though I have to admit, she needs to switch to formula milk very soon. I would love for her to continue as long as we can, but somehow I felt pity for her struggling to get milk from me. My supply has almost reached rock bottom.

Since she doesn't take ebm, she only drinks when I'm at home. She will make sure I feed her before I go to work. She even waited for me when I come back and quickly pulled my hand, "Mummy, nak susu".

Many regard her as 'small' for her age (when compared to Razin, I suppose) and I can't help feeling unpleasant with that remark. I would measure her height and her head circumference every now and then, out of paranoia that she doesn't grow normally. I'm gonna bring her to a routine check-up next month and see what the paed gonna say. I don't quite like when paeds are ignorant of the fact that she is a fully-breastfed baby and her growth can't be compared with formula-milk-fed babies.

Unlike Razin, she loves food. She even takes food from strangers and it seems food always calm her down. The downside of this, she assumes everything is edible, so we really have to watch what she puts in her mouth. One time, we even discovered she tried to chew a tiny pebble (the one you put in the pot for indoor artificial plant) !

Her vocabs are expanding on daily basis. She can construct a short sentence to express her needs. When showed photos in the book, she can recognise what is what. The other day, I pointed at a guitar and asked her what it is. Amazingly, she answered, "guitar". She is also currently learning to count 123.

Such a darling, she is.
